I'm a qualified first aider now...hahaha (apart from the fact that i haven't got my certificate yet..juz finished the course 30 minutes ago). It's a great fun btw. I learned a lot of new stuff such as : u dont tilt ur head up when u have a blood nose (u tilt ur head forward instead, so that u wont choke on ur own blood); DON'T eat too much paracetamol unless it's really really emergency; when somebody has a seizure, don't ever try to hold them...there is a chance that u will break his/her limbs or watever..; when somebody choke, u don't do as wat u seen on TV (where u put ur hands around the ribs area and sort of squeeze that person's body to get out whatever thing that stuck in that person's mouth/throat). See new stuff hey..
One of the most important lessons is NEVER EVER try to follow those first aid steps that u have seen on TV. Most of them are misleading. So, u better call ambulance or u pretend u don't see anything..(if u have no conscience or maybe too panic to do anything).
Overall, it's worthed i guess to pay $160-ish for the course. I know a bit expensive, but at least u can save someone's life simply by doing simple first aid before paramedics come...=D
